Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members and supporters, SDVW continues to make meaningful progress toward helping bring the Women in War Exhibit at the National Vietnam War Museum to life.
Our most recent fundraising campaign raised more than $2,200, bringing the total amount raised by SDVW to nearly $12,000 toward our $50,000 goal.
The exhibit will honor the women who served during the Vietnam War, as well as those whose lives were forever changed by it. Through personal stories, historical artifacts, and interactive displays, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the many roles women played during this pivotal time in our nation's history.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this important project. Every fundraiser, every donation, and every act of support brings us one step closer to ensuring these stories are preserved for generations to come.

One of SDVW's core missions is education, and our America's 250th Education Initiative continues that commitment by helping educate current and future generations about the Vietnam War and those who served.
Each week on our social media platforms, we're sharing highlights from Vietnam War history, featuring significant events, milestones, and moments from the conflict. Through this ongoing series, we're helping preserve the history and legacy of the Vietnam War generation while encouraging a greater understanding of their service and sacrifice.

Many of our members first learned about SDVW because someone took the time to tell them about our organization. If you know someone whose parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, or other family member served during the Vietnam War—or someone who simply believes those who served should never be forgotten—we encourage you to share our mission with them.
By introducing just one person to SDVW, you're helping someone discover a community where Vietnam veterans are honored, stories are preserved, and the legacy of the Vietnam War generation is remembered. More importantly, you're helping them discover they are not alone—that there are others who understand why these stories matter.
As our membership grows, so does our ability to preserve more stories, expand our educational efforts, support meaningful projects, and ensure the legacy of the Vietnam War generation lives on for future generations.

Each year on August 10, we observe Agent Orange Awareness Day in honor of the millions of Vietnam veterans, their families, and others whose lives were forever changed by exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides during the Vietnam War.
While the spraying of Agent Orange ended decades ago, its effects continue to be felt today. Many veterans have faced lifelong health challenges, and countless families have experienced the lasting impact across generations.
At Sons and Daughters of the Vietnam War, we believe preserving the legacy of the Vietnam War generation means remembering not only their service and sacrifice, but also the challenges many continue to face long after the war ended.
On this Agent Orange Awareness Day, we pause to honor those affected, remember those we have lost, and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring their stories are never forgotten.
