The heart of our organization is in ​our committees.  We encourage your participation!​​​​

America 250:

Lead our participation in the 250th anniversary of America’s founding with programs and celebrations honoring our shared history. 

​

Bylaws: 

Propose and review bylaws to ensure our organization remains effective, transparent, and responsive to members’ evolving needs. 

​

Communication: 

Manage our website, newsletter, and social media to keep members informed, promote events, and maintain a strong digital presence. 

 

Education:

Oversee scholarships, curriculum development, and an online speaker series focused on topics of interest to our members.

Fundraising:​

Plan and support fundraising efforts, including our raffle at the museum's fall fundraiser, to sustain programs and events.

​

Legislative:

Monitor legislation affecting Vietnam veterans and their families, recommend action to the board, and support advocacy efforts

​

Membership:

Assist with recruiting new members to help further our goals. 

​

Veterans Affairs:
Identify ways to support, engage, and honor Vietnam veterans while strengthening the relationship between them and SDVW. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
